Reishi Spagyric (Ganoderma species) in 50mL Miron Glass anti-drip infinity bottle
Mushroomlife’s Reishi Spagyric is a crowd favorite. Reishi, the Japanese name for a complex of fungal species in the genus Ganoderma, has been utilized by mankind for centuries. Even appearing in the oldest known book on herbs and other related medical subjects (Shénnóng Běncǎo Jīng) or the 'Classic of the Materia Medica.' This polypore’s nicknames over the millennia are a nod to its adaptogenic nature. Reishi or the Chinese Lingzhi, has been regarded as the “supernatural mushroom,” the “mushroom of immortality,” and the “herb of deathlessness.”
Reishi contains adaptogens, which act to normalize the body, promote homeostasis, optimize metabolism, and improve resistance to a variety of disease factors. An amazing tonic, that energizes, bolsters cardiovascular health, improves cognition and memory as well as mood sometimes (probably through bacteriostasis promotion in the gut) as well as fights aging and inflammation. The bacteriostasis effects of Reishi use come from the complex array of non polar acidic oils, anti fungal and anti bacterial metabolites.
In the wild, Reishi (Ganoderma) must form complex, robust chemical defenses against many organisms in order to survive. Historically, studies have shown that wild mushrooms boast up to 30x more metabolites than their cultivated counterparts. Those secondary metabolites, medicinal compounds generated by Ganoderma to protect itself in nature, are recognized and utilized by the human body to the same end. To make our Reishi Spagyric, only the most select wild mushrooms were sustainably harvested from their natural habitat. Because of these practices our products are in a class of their own.
We truly believe our process of mushroom spagyric creation is special, including the painstaking attention to detail and high level of discipline that is required. It takes a lot of time, financial resource, and physical work to produce a single batch of spagyric extract. The level of dedication within those selflessly practicing these arts is a beautiful thing to behold. The spagyric process is rooted in some of the oldest forms of transmutation practiced by mankind. The people who see the purpose behind this type of slow medicine are as special as the spagyrics themselves. With a keen eye on the mind, the stars, and the flask we forge on in faith of obtaining a greater wellness through these operations.
